Creative Aspirant from The One Academy won Cash for DryPantz Limited Edition Designer Range

The One Academy Multimedia Design student Clara Christine Wijaya won the First Prize at the Drypers DryPantz Project Bootylicious competition. Her heart skipped a beat when she received RM2500 cash and a Winner’s Certificate as a reward for her creative effort. To commemorate this awarding moment, Clara will be seeing her winning designs be produced into limited edition Drypers DryPantz range.

Organized by Lucideas and SCA Hygiene Marketing the marketer for the brand Drypers, the competition was held to call out for creative aspirants to design fresh & fashionable diaper designs for the limited edition Bootylicious designer collection.

Hailed from Indonesia and a cheerful student with an aptitude for creativity, winner Clara submitted her entry entitled ‘See the World’. Her artwork consists of bright and vivid colours that match children and babies, and eye candy to young mothers. Clara incorporated patterns that complement children’s characteristics. She implemented elements of the sea, sky, jungle, antartica and outer space.

The freshman’s list of accomplishment also includes other achievement, which were recently for the 2012 Eco Design Competition and received MRM Best Potential Award. Clara shared her two cents on what it takes to be a designer; she said “Designers will be successful if they always continue to learn new things.”

Project Bootylicious also received entries by other students from The One Academy too. Sharing the titleship with the other colleges in the TOP 8 Finalists are Kathrin Honesta, Chanella Audy and Felicia Liew Shien Ee. These are The One Academy students among the TOP 8 finalists.

These students are also proud aspiring creative designers for the Drypers’ designer edition, and successfully showcased their chic designs to the panel of judges. They have implemented what they have learned from their industry lecturers into their creations. This experience is a remarkable addition to their portfolio, while preparing them to meet industry demands in their future career.

The competition was opened up to all colleges to seek out for youths with new young ideas. This initiative was held to drive engagement for the brand and provide a creative platform to jumpstart students’ successful career in the design field.

At par with The One Academy philosophy of Just World Class Results, students are constantly trained and encouraged by their industry lecturers to strive forward in competitions, not to compete competitively but to explore further with their design abilities.
