The event lasted approximately one month of Multimedia Design students four weeks full of exhibitions, talks and sharing sessions designed to expose them to new experiences and outlooks. Experts from different fields and professions shared the stage with our own students to talk about their work and experiences. Their multitude of outlooks, knowledge and working styles prove that there is various paths when it comes to multimedia! Outdoor activities were held to give everyone some fresh air and sunshine and later on, wrapped up the event with a design market; showcasing the many crafty works of young creative entrepreneurs as our way of supporting and promoting the local design industries.
For the first time, an online promotional campaign was also launched; consist of a website, Facebook page and crowd sourced logo design activity. The response was overwhelming as students interpreted the theme of 360 in their own ways to present various iterations of our logo. Students found the page useful as a networking springboard to share news and connect with their peers.
Aspiring students received an abundance of refreshing inspiration and ideas; especially insights from industry practitioners, fellow students alike with open minds & refreshed outlooks and, last but not least, a grander view of multimedia design's usage in broadcast, design, motion, photography, applications and gaming. By any standard, this year's Starlites exhibition was a great success, and the assured that next year's will be even bigger and better than before! Once again, another proven record of The One Academy's tailored made creative-intelligence!
