The One Academy recently opened its door to welcome two internationally renowned Swiss artists, the Froidevaux brothers to inspire young designers today with daring, eccentric ideas that will push the boundaries of creativity to meet the sky's limit - through old postcards and timeless photographs.

The Froidevaux brothers arrived in Malaysia to hold an art exhibition in Kuala Lumpur featuring 'Plonk & Replonk: Postcards From Another World', organised by the Embassy of Switzerland in conjunction with its French Language Week. The One Academy extended its hospitality to invite the duo artists to drop by the college.

In a 2-hour sharing of cultural exchange, the duo artists presented some of the creative works that were showcased in the exhibition while sharing their professional experience working on 'Plonk & Replonk' containing Swiss humour with an interesting twist of irony.

The brothers' artistic talent engaged the student audience and left them impressed to discover and learned how creativity can be transpired onto everyday ordinary items such as postcards, photographs and even coffee table books.

Such eccentric execution, albeit foreign, became a source of inspiration to the creative pool of designers who look forward to elevate their creativity onto a whole new level of artistic expression where the astonishing images of 'Plonk & Replonk' allow the common mind to grasp reality from a distance, distorted by time and fantasy.

'Plonk & Replonk; was co-founded by the Froidevaux brothers in Switzerland. Creatively, they have collectively distinguished themselves by creating a series of old postcards through recycling old postcards and retouching old photographs with a mix of black humour, nonsense, kitschy, baroque and puns taken literally.
