If anyone could translate abstract ideas into fashion, it’s the students of ESMOD KL. ‘Morph’ and ‘Ciao’ were the themes of final collections during Jury Week held early this month. Morph, meaning transformation, reflects willingness to embrace change, and Ciao, an informal Italian salutation for hello and goodbye, a welcome to new challenges in life. A total number of 115 garments by 23 young and promising fashion designers made their appearance and were judged by fashion design experts Bon Zainal, Brian Khoo, Sally Lau and Paul Marchand.
