It was an unforgettable experience for the Multimedia Design students, who got the chance to visit Shanghai on an overseas field trip from 12 to 21 October of last year. The ten lucky students embarked on a journey to participate in the Shanghai Maker Carnival, an exhibition for makers to showcase their projects ranging from art, craft, design and technology. The students exhibited seven of their artworks and drew positive feedbacks from the visitors. They also had an educating experience of visiting Fudan University, DeTao Masters Academy and NYU Shanghai. Museum visits included the Shanghai Power Station of Art, ‘Hello, My Name is Paul Smith’, Balkrishna Doshi and Ken Miki’s ‘APPLE+’ exhibitions. The group also made industry visits to TOA alumni Kien Hoe’s Y&R Shanghai and Putao Technology. It was definitely an eye-opening adventure they’ll never forget!
